TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Take a scenic drive along the beautiful Pelješac peninsula
Stop at Ston (around 1 hour stop), a small city on peninsula Pelješac. Ston is most known for three things – its walls, the second longest in the world, after The Great Wall of China, its salt works, and its oysters. It is a little isolated, on the Pelješac Peninsula which is situated 60 km away from Dubrovnik.
Ston is the oyster and seafood capital - the bay of Mali Ston has been famous for seashell cultivation since the days of the Roman Empire. All restaurants in Dubrovnik get oysters from Ston.
Continue to the small town of Orebić to catch a boat direct to Korčula island.
Along the way, take in the panoramic scenery of the famous vineyards of Pelješac peninsula, beautiful countryside, and old settlements, accompanied by a discussion on the wineries of Pelješac and mussels breeding.
Korčula is one of the many breathtakingly beautiful islands off the coast of Croatia.
So lush with dark pine forests, vineyards and olive groves the ancient Greek settlers called it Korkyra Melaina (‘Black Corfu’).
See some of the city's towers, including the restored Tower Rampada.
Learn about the knightly games and dances of medieval Korčula.
Visit a local restaurant for a laid-back island lunch (own expense).
After lunch, you shouldn't miss out swimming in the crystal clear water of the island's beautiful beaches.
On the way back to Dubrovnik, enjoy a wine tasting at a privately-run vineyard of the Pelješac Peninsula, and savor some of the best wines of Croatia.
Pelješac peninsula is known as one of the most famous Croatian wine regions.
